Remember when... Flashback 1985... Josie's debut
Watched concert of Jose Marie Chan last night. Not a powerful belter but a soothing and cool singing voice. I don’t know why but it always makes me feel good after listening to his songs, parang life is so beautiful. Grabe, na-miss ko music nya. Will buy his Golden Hits CD when I get the chance. Kagabi sana eh at may libre autograph and picture pa with him kaya lang nagmamadali kami kasi punta pa kami casino, he he --- slot machine lang naman ang kaya kong laruin dun, won 500 pesos, yey!!!
A love to last a lifetime (do you remember this Joe Marie Chan song?)
We're all merely passing through
Doing what we can do for a lifetime
We have more than one adventure to take
More than one dream to make in our lifetime

uy yoyang, naalala ko yang debut ni josie. andyan kami di ba? hay da good ole days.....si daddy mo ba yan?
oo nga, i like jmc's songs, saan kaya niya kuha ang kanyang inspiration noh? siguro he lives his life according to his expectations, mostly anyway. pero ang melody nya, para bang napakagaan ng buhay, para kang nasa tren on a long long trip to another place and you're enjoying the beautiful sceneries with soothing music on the background and simply basking in the beauty of the experience. ayan, tuloy naging Balagtas ako ng wala sa oras! kse naman feel ko yung feel ng blog mo.
ang ganda ng lyrics ng songs na ito. yeah, we got more than one adventure to make in our lifetime...and the ride could be fun, it all depends on us!
he he he, ngayon ko lang narecognize sa picture si yoyang ganda in her glory younger days nung 1985, at si badadadang, super slim, panawagan vadaday, valik ka dyan sa ganyang dimension - and moi, oh my goolie gushie, muka akong ulikba! :).
sige yoyang, magapayanig ka dyan ng hips and fwet in your costume feeling queen of sheeba, must be fun...he he....
Anenuninap, si Kuya Joey yung nasa foreground, he he lagotski ka :) We all looked so young then, teenyboppers pa nga ata tayo nun eh.
Natumbok mo ang aking sentiments about JMC. Di ko lang ma-express ng maganda dahil wala ko ng prose mo. Lam mo ba, he's a sugar trader, hobby nya lang singing ang composing. Galing no? Loved the song, naisip ko agad when I heard it, I'll post it in this blog. Ok tong may blog eh, snapshots ng buhay ko and somehow pushes me to make something out of myself para naman may saysay at kulay ang life... la lang...
oi ate-yoyang & ate-tulipya, tama kyo about jmc's songs! isang fave kong composition nya yung variation nya ng beatle's "here, there & everywhere" - but it's title escapes me now! i also watched his concert before in meralco theater w/the manila symphony orchestra w/my mom, sisters & cousin! feeling ko nun parang "what a wonderful world" nga, esp w/the orchestra (w/c i love)! my mom's his kababayan, kababata & kapitbahay, baka distant relative din! she also told me what yoyang shared about him! pansin namin ni momy pag narinig mo composition nya, malalaman mo kanya yun, coz there's a familiar ring to its melody! what talent, i love his commercial jingles too!
kakatuwa our pic, naalala ko pa yan, babata, slim & beauty natin ha! at ang nag-choreo ng cotillon, yoya's mom & lola! thanks yoya, sana more nostalgic pics next time!
uy tulipya, di mo pala nakilala kuya! nakilala ko kasi alala ko our party sa valle verde yata. hinanap natin sa kanya sa gate nila si yoya, nag-ayos tayo doon, tapos tinanong ka sa party kung sino ka, di ka pala nakilala.. do you remember? :)
sige ateyoyang, keep on blogging ha, i really enjoy visiting you here & the self-expression on your entries! :)
Atedadayski, sobrang galing ng memory mo ah, pati choreographers ni Josie, naalala mo pa! Also the party at Valle Verde sponsored by College Y remember? :) Naku, kadikit pala ni Mother si JMC, so glad to know you might be related at baka nanalaytay sa dugo mo ang pagiging songer/composer. He sang pala some of the jingles he composed during the concert, he he Nahahalata tuloy edad kasi I am familiar with the jingles :)
Mga diwata, thanks for the encouraging words re: journaling. I just read sa Cosmo na this is one effective way to de-stress
